We recently celebrated our third anniversary. We decided with all the stress in our lives we needed to just get away and enjoy being a couple. So we went to a bed and breakfast in Old Saybrook CT. it seems we like that area of Ct, cause our last bed and breakfast outing was in the neighboring town of Westbrook (about a year and ahalf ago). We stayed at the Deacon Timothy Pratt house, in the Miss James room, which is a room that the first black pharmacist in CT slept in when she was incharge of the pharmacy and soda fountain in the late 1800's or something like that. Don't quote me on those facts.
We had a good time just perusing antique stores and tag sales mostly just to browse. Although we did find 4 black wood deck chairs for the wargo parentals deck and got all of them for $10 bucks, which started them on a painting of all deck furniture, and they did a good job. Anyways back to our stay at the bed and breakfast. So since our anniversary is over memorial day weekend we got to watch a parade, ride bikes down quaint main streets, and relax with professional massages from Al. Since it was too expensive for us both to get an hour massage, we had them split it into 30 minutes each. Afterward I had asked matt " so, how awkward is it watch another man put his hands all over your wife...??" lol Matt actually said he didn't care. I at least thought my question would get a reaction.... geez men these days.
The only down side to our whole trip was coming back home, and eating our leftovers, which gave me food poisoning, and put me out of commission for a day.
Glad to hear you guys had a great anniversary! Nice of them to have all those parades for you guys! ;) Too bad about the food poisoning, though. I think my two years eating old french cheese on my mission gave me an iron stomach.
