"If your ship doesn’t come in, swim out to meet it!" - by Jonathan Winters.
I honestly have no idea who he is, but i liked the quote. It struck a little spot in my mind that said, you know what Jenean you should swim harder to get to your ship. But which ship to swim to first? First about a year ago we started the long process of swimming towards affording IVF and having Biological kids. Well that ship put in anchor and is awaiting our arrival in about two months. Then this last June we started the process of also swimming towards foster care, this ship hasn't even come close, and honestly I think they see us swimming hard to get there but they must be a cruise ship that can move under power cause they just stay right out of reach. As of August 22 they had 120 days to let us catch up and get licensed but it could be till next june we've been told. SO that leaves us with the last ship we are trying to get to. The house. And it is also one that just hovers out of reach. The captain said you can have it but the bank needs to say yes too. I never thought it would take more than a month. But we are still swimming for it.
SO what i've been thinking is that even though you can swim out after those ships sometimes there are things preventing you from reaching them. But that doesn't mean we should just stop and let ourselves sink, which is what i've been doing... i need to buck up and just keep swimming... Just like Dory says too.
Dory always has good advice! We'll keep praying for you!
