Wow time flies

Life is interesting. I think most the time I don't know what to write of this blog because there is to much to share or to much time has gone past. SO I'll give brief account of the last.... hmm i guess its almost been a year since my last post... k so brief account. Last December we decided we had to move from our apartment, started to move things into storage, building caught fire but we only had minimal smoke damage. January- lived with the in-laws, well only Father in law really cause Sue was in Alaska. But by February we found a new place. almost one step better than the last apartment which was condemned by the state lol. and life was fairly quite after that.

We have interesting neighbors. one is a recovering drug addict, she's nice enough but she can be a little intrusive, and her boyfriend who is close to 20 yrs her senior. Odd couple, I know. About 2 months ago we got talked into getting a kitten from her godparents, and sometimes I think it was a huge mistake. Not because of our kitten who's name is Ruckus, and Shelby our dog loves him, but because our neighbor can't seem to just leave us be now. she wouldn't believe he didn't have fleas cause all the other kittens did, so she came and checked her self. then she wants to always come up and let her kitten play with ours so quote" they don't forget each other." who gives a flying leap if they forget each other most cats are fairly solitary animals. when raised with other cats the get along, but soon i don't think our cat will like another cat coming in our apartment , even if it is his brother. oh well. we are living with it.

Recently we built Ruckus a cat tree that is over 6 ft tall, all in hopes that he will scratch it instead of our other furniture or the wood posts in the apartment. Making this project was really fun. We used old wood from a tree that had fallen down last year in our yard. and old carpet from the in-law apartment at my in-laws bathroom:). so all we had to pay for was the platform wood and the hardware.

Beyond the little projects we have going, the only other news is Matt starting school this month. he will have two classes: one on Monday night and one on Tuesdays. those will be long days for him and me :( but it will be worth it in the end. I've been struggling with the idea of finding a job that can support us for a while while Matt is in school. One- it would be less stress on him and maybe he would get better grades ( which is the whole point of him going for a MBA before PT school). Two- it would give me something to do each day, since all i am doing is watching tv, letting the dog out and cleaning the apartment. It would be nice to have a purpose again, at least during the week.
One Sundays I'm teaching the 6 and 7 yr olds boys and girls. on average we have about 6 that come. and they can be pretty active. I was told I was getting the problem class, but they aren't really, they are just high energy and like to get as much attention as possible. so I'm enjoying getting to know the kids and figuring out what boundaries they think have to be pushed.
So there you go. that is everything that isn't to to personal to share :) enjoy

  2. Thanks for the update! Sounds like you have an interesting neighbor, but at least she doesn't have a key. Congrats to Matt on the MBA program and good luck with the job search

  3. Great to read your post, Jenean! It's good to get the news from your corner of Wargoland. Love the scratching post, and I agree - what's up with the kitty play dates? Hmmm... anything missing from your apartment?
Matt - good luck in school! How many credits will you be taking? And Jenean, good luck with your job search. Any employer would be lucky to have you on their staff.
